Subtle Asian Baking is hosting a #veryasianbakesale this year to help #stopasianhate
With the recent brutal murders of Michelle Go and Christina Yuna Lee, we see there continues to be a dire need to help #stopasianhate and to amplify female Asian voices.
From now until April 18th, 2022, we invite you to donate directly or host bake sales (virtually or in-person) along with the Subtle Asian Baking community, Stache of Goods, Cakes by Michelle, and Big Cake Mom to raise funds to help #stopasianhate. Our goal is to raise at least $5000, to be split evenly between The Very Asian Foundation and Heart of Dinner.

About Subtle Asian Baking: Subtle Asian Baking (SAB) is the leading online community and source for sweet and savory Asian baking, showcasing and sharing the best crowdsourced Asian baking recipes. SAB celebrates and explores Asian culture and history through baking and innovating, and gives back to the AAPI community, contributing to #stopAsianhate efforts.
"Impacts of violence and racism are disproportionately felt by women in targeted groups," states Sung Yeon Choimorrow, executive director of the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum. "The brutality endured by Asian Americans long predates the COVID pandemic. Out of the 3,800 anti-Asian hate incidents reported to Stop AAPI Hate between March 2020 and March 2021, 68 percent were by women."-NBC News
